You should choose the best female Alpaca for breeding. These female Alpacas should not weigh more than one hundred and seventy pounds. A female Alpaca animal is a very fertile animal that can be bred throughout the year. They should be exposed to a male Alpaca stud eleven months before you want a baby Alpaca, known as a cria, to be born. You will want to keep in mind that crias who are born in the springtime will have a much thicker coat of fleece than a baby cria who is born during other times of the year.
