Generally prices for Alpacas range from
$1,000 for pet males, $6,000-$12,000 for juvenile females,
$8,000-$20,000 unproven bred females, $8,000-$30,000 for
proven bred females, and from $10,000-$150,000+ for herdsires.
The price will be dependent on age, bloodlines, awards,
fleece, color and so on. For more discussion on the types

One way to approach your alpaca purchase
is to consider buying more than one or two at a time, particularly
bred females with a cria at their side that has yet to be
weaned. Often you can get the animals priced more aggressively
as a package rather than individually.
Animals can be bought for cash or financed,
some ranches will also take credit cards.
